John Heringer Went from $0 to $500,000 in Fitness Sales

All right, we’re here with john heringer, who’s VIP member from California, in town for a consulting day. And so we want to catch up with him friend PTV to see how things are going. So john, great to have you here today. And good to be here. Sean, welcome to the show. Yeah. So tell us for the folks that don’t know you yet. Tell us about your background and your business.
Sure. So I started in the fitness industry pretty much right when I got out of college, and then I was working with a health club industry for a while. And that’s kind of when I ran into two MP. And it was, it was things I really wanted to implement, but couldn’t as best you know, to my ability. So ultimately, I resigned from from that position went to doing just some training on my own kind of was in a weird place and ended up coming full circle back to kind of getting I always got the emails but kind of getting really back involved with MP and got into mega training was was super excited about going and made the jump to VIP. And now our business in just a few short years is literally went from nothing to projecting about half a million sales this year. Excellent.
Well, congratulations. Thanks. Yeah. And you’re, you’re on a tremendous run right now.
Yeah, very, yeah. Gotta keep the momentum.
Yeah. And so let’s talk about that. So, for those who haven’t been to mega training yet, last year, was your first mega training you attended? Yeah. Although you’d been a member and been receiving information for several years. So what finally got you out to the event? And got you there? And, and then talk about that experience of Okay, you know, of being there.
Absolutely. So, with the emails, I’ve watched a lot of the case study videos, and one that spoke a lot to me was Audra, who ended up winning member of the year. And she’s from the Bay Area. And so she so to see someone kind of so close to home, you know, not only doing so well, but when this contest was pretty motivating, and so I’ve kind of just saying, okay, just stop making excuses, and just do it, right. So going to make a training was great, because you got to use a lot of the people that you see in some of these different testimonials different, you know, duplicator articles, or they’re all there. And so it’s it’s neat to and I’m not shy, so I just went, Hey, I know you What’s up, man, you don’t know me, but that’s okay. And getting a lot of their stories and whatnot. And then also just getting a sense of the community, you know, going to the the luncheon and kind of getting a sense of that it’s it’s just one big happy VIP family out there. And we’re all there to help each other. And it has been, it has been awesome. Ever since then, literally. I mean, since then, I joined right after mega churning, and it’s kind of just catapulted me and kind of given me a clearer sense of purpose and vision, and then also good little competitive side to make sure that I’m, you know, hold my own against the other VIPs. So it’s good. Yeah,
excellent. So tell us about the consulting day today. What What did you kind of come in with, you know, to address and what have been the big takeaways for you of the time spent here today,
I came up with three three key things, one was kind of getting an idea of my sales manager positions and compensation. One was rolling out semi private training, and another was kind of future vision for the for the company. So the best part about it was just having such a small group and being able to utilize some of your time and kind of go through, okay, what does that mean? What is your org chart looking like, and really, I’m a very visual person. So having that big board and kind of mapping things out really helped. And it’s given me a good list of things to implement when I get home, test some things, roll some things out and have a good action plan. And that’s kind of really what I wanted was just things I can go home and do knowing Okay, this is what needs to get done. And then working through those things knowing that the the vision part of it is going to kind of it’s going to come to fruition as I work through these things. I’m going to kind of see the bigger picture as I go so
excellent. It’s been great. Yeah, good. And so I think we should probably finish here with talking about this year’s remember the year contest because it’s coming up fast. Yes, it is and the time to to enter and we’ll be reviewing finalists and such depending on when this video actually goes out. But are you declaring that you will be entering this year’s contest?
Yes, publicly declaring to anyone watching right now that I want to be the person to beat this year. I feel really good about where fast action sharing is right now. And I’m going to keep it on supersonic speed all the way through to this middle of the year so I’m I’m pumped. I can’t wait.
